About WDW Guides
- Is WDW Guides affiliated with Disney?
- No. WDW Guides is an independent trip planning service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company.
- Is WDW Guides free to use?
- Yes, WDW Guides is completely free during our beta period. No credit card required. Paid plans with advanced features will be introduced after launch.
- What parks does WDW Guides cover?
- WDW Guides currently covers all four Walt Disney World theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Disney Springs and water parks are not currently included.
- Will you support other theme parks?
- Universal Studios, Disneyland, and other destinations are on our long-term roadmap under the ExplorerGuides brand.
Planning Your Trip
- How does the trip planning quiz work?
- After creating a trip, you answer 9 questions about your group's energy level, priorities, dining preferences, and planning style. We use your answers to rank attractions, suggest dining options, and personalize your Lightning Lane strategy.
- Can I plan for multiple trips?
- Yes, you can create and manage multiple trips at once. Each trip has its own itinerary, dining reservations, packing list, and preferences.
- What is the Trip Readiness tracker?
- Trip Readiness shows your progress across 6 planning areas: trip basics, preferences quiz, Lightning Lane strategy, attractions, dining reservations, and packing list. It's a quick way to see what's done and what's left.
- Can I use WDW Guides for off-site stays?
- Absolutely. WDW Guides works whether you're staying on Disney property, off-site, or haven't decided yet. Resort-specific features like dining windows are noted when relevant.
Attractions & Dining
- How are attraction recommendations personalized?
- Attractions are scored based on your party composition, quiz priorities, energy level, and must-see flags. A family with young kids will see different recommendations than a group of adults.
- What is Lightning Lane?
- Lightning Lane is Disney's paid skip-the-line system. WDW Guides helps you plan which Lightning Lane passes to prioritize each day based on your budget and preferences.
- How many attractions are in the database?
- WDW Guides includes 150+ attractions across all four Walt Disney World parks, each with detailed information including thrill level, height requirements, and insider tips.
- Does WDW Guides make dining reservations for me?
- No — WDW Guides helps you track and plan dining reservations, but actual bookings must be made through Disney's official My Disney Experience app or website.
Account & Privacy
- Is my data safe?
- Yes. We use Supabase for secure data storage with row-level security, meaning your data is only accessible to you. We do not sell or share your personal data.
- Can I delete my account?
- Yes. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently removes your account and all associated data.
- How do I reset my password?
- Click 'Forgot password?' on the login page and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes.
- Can I change my email address?
- Yes, you can update your email from the Settings page. You'll need to verify the new address before the change takes effect.
